MAKING A PURCHASE

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, click add to cart on any items you wish to buy this puts them into the Shopping Cart, here you can enter a Personal Message which will be printed and sent with your order and select your Delivery Date. After you have finished your selections, you will be asked for the details of

both yourself and the recipient. Once these details are entered you will be asked for your credit card details through Protx, our on-line Payment Service Provider (www.protx.com). Finally you will receive a confirmation email of your order from Protx.

PLEASE NOTE: To preserve our customers' privacy we do not supply any details/information with the order other than the Personal Message that you enter so please include your name etc so that the recipient knows who their gift is from. We reserve the right to alter or not include the personal message if we feel that the contents of the personal message could be construed as crude or offensive in nature.

We accept all major credit cards and the cards we accept are shown at the top of all our pages. You may also purchase any items by phone or send your order by email, however for security reasons we do not recommend this method and encourage you to either call us or place your order online.

All product prices quoted have VAT included. Every effort is made to display prices correctly but on rare occasions if a mistake has occurred, "Balloons Gifts & Hampers" will correct this mistake and inform the customer accordingly and the customer can then decide to proceed or cancel the order.

At the time of ordering the Customer must provide a correct daytime telephone number and e-mail address. Failure to provide this may result in a delay in the order being sent.

Helium foil balloons normally float for about 5 - 7 days minimum. However in cold temperatures the helium may cause the balloon to appear deflated but after re-entering into a warmer climate the helium expands and the balloon will be inflated once again.

Our Flowers are supplied fresh to us on the day of dispatch to ensure the blooms last as long as possible. We send our Blower Bouquets out in specially designed flower boxes and the bouquets are packaged protectively in an aqueous transport pack and cellophane. The packaging must be removed and the bouquet placed in fresh water as soon as possible after delivery. If this is not done your bouquet could "die off" prematurely.

Some of our airwalker balloons are supplied with paperclips to weight them down. Please supervise children/pets when playing with these items.

Our Singing Balloons' song is operated by tapping the front of the balloon and a small electronic device inside the balloon plays the song. Each balloon is designed to provide 50 plays but as the song is activated through
disturbance of the despatched product in transit, we cannot guarantee the amount of plays after delivery. Due to this we charge the same price as a standard supershape balloon and no refunds will be given for song not playing after delivery.

Our Stuffed Balloons have shredded tissue paper on the bottom. The soft toy chosen is then suspended inside the balloon with nylon line so that it just sits on the shredded tissue paper. This nylon line must be removed from the soft toy after the balloon is burst and prior to use. The top of the balloon is finished with a bow and curled ribbon. The balloon will stay inflated for weeks. However, after a while the outside of the balloon will begin to oxidise; this is a natural process on latex balloons and is caused by oxygen in the atmosphere reacting with the natural products in the balloon. But in most cases the recipient never sees it because they are so keen to get the contents out they burst the balloon soon after delivery.

Certain Post Codes located in remote or hard to reach places in the UK are excluded from Next Day Delivery Guarantee and we also cannot make Saturday deliveries to these postcodes. Postcodes affected are listed below please check these prior to completing your order. If you are unsure if we can deliver your order on time please call us to place your order.

This delivery charge is to be used for Next Day or Guaranteed Day deliveries Monday to Friday ONLY. These will be sent by our courier Parcel Force.

Saturdays by 5.30pm - £9.90
This delivery charge is to be used for Saturday Deliveries ONLY. This will normally be by Royal Mail using their Saturday Guaranteed Special Delivery (by 1pm). However we may have to use Guaranteed Saturday Delivery by Parcel Force if your order requires to be sent in a box larger than 610mm x 460mm x 460mm as the Royal Mail will not accept items larger than this for a Special Delivery which can arrive anytime upto 5.30pm.

DELIVERY GUARANTEE

For all of the above delivery services if your order is not delivered by the time or date you requested you will be entitled to a full refund of the delivery charge ONLY.(Exclusions to this include if you have requested Next Day Delivery but have ordered after 4pm cut-off time, if you have ordered after 4pm on Friday and request a Saturday Or Monday Delivery & if you requested a Saturday delivery but did not select the correct shipping charge).

Even though you may be ordering well in advance of when you actually need your gift selection delivered (days, weeks or even months), the above delivery services are what we use to guarantee delivery on a specific date.
Delivery Schedule

All Deliveries will be made by Parcel Force or Royal Mail. Orders must be received by 4pm Monday to Friday to qualify for a Next Day delivery. Any 'Next Day Delivery' orders received after 4pm will be despatched the next working day. If an order is received before 4pm on a Friday and you require a Saturday delivery please select the additional charge for a Saturday delivery if this is not selected it will be delivered the following Monday unless the Monday is a Bank Holiday it will then be delivered on Tuesday (ie the next working day).


However where time allows ie your order is placed by 4pm on Thursday we will send the order out for delivery on Friday. Any Orders received after 4pm on Friday cannot be despatched until Monday and hence delivered on Tuesday unless the Monday is a Bank holiday where your order will be delivered on Wedensday.

If the correct delivery charge is not selected for your required delivery date we will not be liable for any refunds due to the item arriving later than you requested. For instance if you request a Saturday as a delivery date and have not selected the Saturday charge your order will not be delivered until the Monday/Tuesday depending on when you placed the order.

If you place a next day delivery order after the cut-off time of 4pm we will send your balloon out the next working day which may result in it being a day later than you requested . We will not be liable for any refunds regarding 'late delivery' as there are clear warnings regarding the cut-off time for next day deliveries displayed on all our products descriptions & catalogue pages.

We do not offer Same Day Delivery or make any deliveries an a Sunday.

To ensure the order arrives correctly and on time please help us by providing the FULL Name and Address including postcode of the person for whom you would like this gift to be sent. We cannot take responsibility for any incorrect information supplied at the time of placing the order.

For deliveries to a business please ensure that you include the recients name and business name. Also please ensure that, especially on Saturdays, you have checked that they can receive them on the Delivery Date you have requested. We will not be liable for refunds if they are unable to accept deliveries on the day you have requested. (Please note deliveries can be made anytime from 7:00 in the morning)

For deliveries to Hospitals please ensure all details supplied are correct (including the ward Number / Department) and that the Hospital ward/department will accept deliveries.

All deliveries will require a signature as proof of delivery, therefore, we cannot request that items be left in a safe place or outbuildings.

If you select the standard weekdays by 5.30pm we cannot guarantee any specific time delivery requests but we will print these on the delivery labels.

Where our courier has attempted to deliver the parcel and no-one is available at the delivery address to sign for the it we will not be liable for a refund of the delivery charge as an attempt has been made on the requested delivery date. The courier will either automatically attempt to redeliver your order the next working day or leave it at a local Post Office for collection - they will normally leave a card advising of the attempted delivery but WE CANNOT guarantee this. If a card is left it will give a phone number and clear instructions on how to get the parcel re-delivered or where the parcel can be picked up from (normally the courier local sorting office).

(Please note: If a delivery attempt was made on a Friday but there was no one to receive the parcel the next day our couriers will attempt delivery will be Monday, which is the next working day).

Once delivery has been signed for at the given address, it is no longer the responsibility of Balloons, Gifts & Hampers. Refunds cannot be given if the parcel has not passed onto the named recipient.

Occasionally Parcels are not collected from either the Parcel Force Delivery Depots or the local Post Office. Although these items are normally returned to us, we are liable to refund these items unless they contain NON-Persishable goods. (ie anything other than balloons, flowers or fruit baskets).
Back Orders

We would rather not disappoint our customers by "back ordering" if particular items are not in stock as this may affect the delivery date. On the rare occasions where an item that you have ordered is not in stock (we replenish stocks on a daily basis) we reserve the right to substitute any item on your order which is not in stock with an equivalent item that will be of the same or greater value to the item that you ordered. However, where time allows at least 24hrs in advance of despatch of your order) we will attempt to contact you by e-mail or telephone to advise you of the replacement we can offer.
Tax Charges

All prices are subject to the inclusion of VAT at the rate of 17.5%.
Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. When orders are place by telephone your card details are entered directly into our ordering system.
Guarantee

RETURNS/CANCELLATION/LATE OR NON-DELIVERY POLICY

Returns - Flowers

We endeavour to ensure that the flowers you get are as fresh as possible. We may have to subsitute some stems within the bouquet if they are not seasonally available. The replacement stems will be of the same quality, quantity and value. Fresh flowers are classed as perishable goods and as such we are exempt under the distance selling regulations from cancellation once they are despatched.

As with all other products on our site you can cancel your order up to 2 working days prior to dispatch and get a full refund. If you cancel within 2 working days of despatch we will deduct from your refund an administration charge of £5.

Orders for flowers cannot be cancelled on the day of despatch if they have been made up and packaged ready for delivery.

If Flower Bouquets are damaged we must be notified within 5 working days of the delivery or no refund or exchange will be offered. The outer box and contents must be kept available for inspection as we will arrange collection prior to offering any refund. Or we may ask you to send us visual proof of the damage. Our liability for refund shall extend to the damaged goods ONLY.

Returns - Fruit Baskets, Gifts, Hampers.

If goods are damaged/incorrect we must be notified within 5 working days of the delivery or no refund or exchange will be offered. The outer box and contents must be kept available for inspection as we will arrange collection prior to offering any refund. Our liability for refund shall extend to the damaged/incorrect goods ONLY.

Returns - Balloons.

We encourage you to order balloons to be delivered as close to the occasion as possible. Balloons Gifts & Hampers cannot be held responsible for balloons deflating once received by the recipient. We mark all our Balloon order packaging with warning labels advising the recipient not to open the box with a knife or scissors as this may damage/burst the contents. If goods are damaged/incorrect we must be notified within 5 working days of the delivery or no refund or exchange will be offered. If you find a balloon to be damaged/incorrect the outer box and contents must be kept as we will arrange collection of the goods for inspection prior to agreeing any refund. Our liability for refund shall extend to the damaged/incorrect goods ONLY.

Late or Non Delivery

Where your order is not delivered on the date you specified the refund that we will offer extends to delivery/postage costs incurred ONLY. However, if your item doesn't arrive at all (ie it is lost) you will be entitled to a full refund. We will not offer any refunds if your balloon has not arrived due to it being left by Parcel Force for collection at a Post Office and it is not collected by the recipient from there.

Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled up to 2 working days prior to the requested delivery date and a full refund given. Should you wish to cancel less than 2 working days before the delivery date there will be an administration charge of £5 unless the goods ordered have already been prepared and/or despatched - in this circumstance no cancellation will be accepted and no refund given. We will issue you with any refunds agreed within 30 days of cancellation.

As most of our goods are perishable we are exempt under the Distance Selling Regulations from giving cancellation rights once dispatched.
Privacy Policy

We do not disclose buyer information to third parties. Cookies are used on the website to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item to store delivery addresses. We retain only the information we require to process and deliver your order, no third parties are involved.

Information is collected lawfully through our catalogue ordering procedure and is in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Remittance Terms

Full payment is required before your order can be dispatched. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by any of these terms and conditions.
